For the past three years, I’ve created a video yearbook of sorts for our family & friends in lieu of a christmas card. 

Sure it’s a $hit ton of work, but I know in the end I will have a meaningful piece of work that my family will cherish for a lifetime.  

Regardless of the warm and fuzzies we’ll feel years from now, stopping to actually accomplish said overwhelming task is another story. 

The production of this “christmas card” requires going through thousands of pictures, four different apps and a partridge in a pear tree.   

This year I broke the production process into small chunks, so that it wasn’t AS much of a behemoth task.

1. Went through a years worth of pics on a drive to and from Hiawassee, GA with my girls and in-laws.
2. Added all of the images to NOTES in my phone
3. Brainstorm photo sequence and script.
4. Moved all of the photos into 4 separate slideshows within the Ripl App. 
5. Added captions for each slide in Ripl App.
